How to use the "/tellraw" command in Minecraft
So this command is very useful. Basically, and all automated messages that are in the Our Town World will soon be switching to it.
You might realize that automated messages (happen when World Power restarts, or you go in a store) always begin with:
[Store name] Hello! Welcome! et c.
<!> ! Whispers to you: Welcome to this store!
Those look very unprofessional and not like a warm welcome. With the /tellraw command, you can display in the chat EXACTLY what you type, without any pre/suffixes.
Here is /tellraw compared to other messaging commands:
Clearly, you can see, it is more professional. It is better than /msg because it doesn’t have any text beforehand, and it is better than /say because /say always says the command to everybody.
How to use /tellraw:
Here is the command syntax:
/tellraw <Person(s)ToTell> <MessageToTell>
For PersonToTell, use Target Selectors, such as @a, @p, @s, @r, et c.
For MessageToTell, you will need to type text in the JSON Text format. Here is a useful tool for automatically turning normal text into JSON format. Click here!
Paste the code your get from that website into the “MessageToTell” slot.
